World Renowned RNG Experts in Safe, Clean, Reliable, Affordable, Efficient and Resilient Energy
We, at Kano Energy Corp (KEC), are producers of renewable natural gas (RNG) for the largest petroleum corporations in the United States!
At KEC, we own, operate and maintain renewable energy plants that convert organic waste into renewable natural gas. We own facilities that process raw biogas generated from sources such as food waste or manure into a RNG product that can be injected into the natural gas pipeline network and transported anywhere in the United States.
As a critical component to a clean energy future, RNG is one of the most effective ways to decarbonize existing natural gas pipelines and deliver carbon-neutral energy alternatives to utilities, municipalities, major corporations, institutions, colleges, and the transportation sector.
Both RNG and fossil natural gas can help businesses meet their carbon emissions reductions goals, but RNG does so even more effectively. While fossil natural gas can reduce vehicle carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 20 to 25 % compared to diesel fuel, RNG can reduce the carbon footprint of diesel by 88 % or more.
We produce renewable natural gas through a time tested process called anaerobic digestion, where organic waste (food waste / manure) is mixed and heated in these digesters in the absence of oxygen. This is then acted upon by micro-organisms to produce biogas, a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. Then, the biogas undergoes a process known as ‘scrubbing’ to remove carbon dioxide and other impurities. This finally results in a pipeline quality stream of RNG that is fully interchangeable with conventional natural gas.
It is the most critical component to a clean energy future.
It Is The Most Critical Component To A Clean Energy Future.
It Reduces Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Decreases Reliance On Fossil
It Provides The Gas Grid With Enhanced Diversity Of Supply And Market
It Is Sold Into The Natural Gas Grid To Generate Profits For Owners Of Landfills, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Farmers, And Food Processors.
We, at KEC, realised that we don’t really have another planet where we can all move to. So, this shift towards sustainability has been the driving factor that makes us WHAT we are.
When wet organic matter decomposes under typical management practices - for instance, when food waste is disposed of in a landfill, it produces biogas, a mix of carbon dioxide, methane, and other trace elements that can escape to the atmosphere and contribute to climate change (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2017).
